Harvest Festival

Acton Scott Historic Working Farm will be holding its annual harvest festival on Sunday 24th September. In the morning the dray will be decorated with corn dollies, apples and the harvest loaf ready for the afternoon procession. The local vicar will lead the procession through the length of the farm while giving thanks to the animals for providing food and other materials. The day ends with a repast where staff and customers enjoy a selection of food and drink made by the cottage ladies and have a taste of the harvest loaf.
